Charytín Goyco: Old School Dominican Flyness
Okay, so I’m going to take another stroll down my pockmarked and littered memory lane and reminisce about the days when Cable TV consisted of twisting the coat hanger that doubled as your TV’s antennae so you could get a fuzzy reception of Music Box TV, PBS and Univision.
Obviously, it was Univison (Telemundo’s sluttier sister) that was most titillating to my prepubescent brain, particularly the shows “A’La Cama” and “Charytin”. And it was Charytin who aroused in me suspicious feelings I didn’t think a 30 something-year-old woman could.
Hands down Charytin was (and still is) FIRE.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Charytin Goyco became a major star with her variety show “El Show de Charytin” which aired on Univision network.
